Limited 4D ultrasound introduces a mother to her unborn child enabling her to bond with her baby. Special criteria must be met to schedule an appointment for these services.
Prenatal Development at 8 Weeks:
The unborn child now swims and moves gracefully inside the protective amniotic sac. Every organ is present. The stomach produces digestive juices and the liver makes blood cells. The kidneys are beginning to function and taste buds are forming. Brain waves can be measured. The heart beats sturdily. The baby's eyelids and palms of the hands are sensitive to the touch. The baby is about 1.5 inches long now.
Weeks 28-30: The baby is about 16 inches and weighs 3 pounds. Its lungs are able to breathe air although medical help maybe needed. The baby can open & close its eyes, suck its thumb & respond to sound.
